The EKA Viking Combi Saw (or ‘EKA Viking Wilderness Multi Blade Folding Combi Saw‘ if you have an affinity for long terms…) is a lightweight, but very capable saw for outdoor use. It is manufactured by EKA-knivar in Sweden in both a 17″ (43cm) or 21″ (53cm) variants.
As promised in the last review, here is the chest rig review part II with the grandfather of all chest rigs, known as “ChiCom“. But there is more to this old sheet of canvas with pouches then it appears at first glance.
“Do I need a chest rig?” You have probably asked this already yourself at some point. I did and I do “need” one. But to be honest, only in terms of weight reduction (in comparison to a plate carrier). Also for the OPFOR roles in most games it is often not allowed to use some kind of plate carrier or body armor with harness, therefore chest rigs are more suitable – and in my opinion a lot more comfortable to wear. Not to forget some other perks.
While searching Ebay for Soviet/Russian gear, I stumbled over this ancient night vision. Neither did I recognize it, nor was able to find anything about it on the Web.
So it was clear what to do: Buy it! 🙂
When I first got the Kizlyar Supreme Prime some years ago, I did not expect I would be writing a review about it at all.
Not that the knife was bad, but I usually refrain from doing reviews on ‘just knifes’ – unless they are something special like the Spetsnaz Machete.
But as time passed, I began to realize that the Primeis actually somewhat special in its own way. Why?
It’s been a while since I wanted to make a review on the 6b33 Personal Body Armor, but to be honest I lacked the time and several information I still wanted to gather and had to investigate. But, it was worth it, at least in my opinion
I am really happy that I can finally review, or better said, show and present you one of my favorite items made by SSO/SPOSN. The Bober (Бобер = Beaver) assault backpack has become my constant companion in my daily life and on the weekend battlefields. It also displaced the “sack” like EastPak from my high school times I had used until now.
